n!faculty are the winners of the first TBH-Cup ever hosted, when defeating fnatic 2-0 in the Grand Final.
The online tournament was staged online this Saturday, featuring eight teams to play it out for prizes and some entertaining. The favorite role had been giving to the Swedes from fnatic, with mousesports cancelling their participation on Thursday.
The Swedes were however forced to use David "Sollet" Björk in the first round, as Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund woke up just two minutes after the match had gone line. Even with a stand-in, fnatic was able to defeat Frankfurt 69ers in the first matchup. The Swedes raced on and even went to crush n!faculty 16-2 on de_dust2 in the second round, with the German squad being called out to be the team to challenge the Swedes in the Grand Final.
The teams did end up facing each other in the Grand Final, with n!faculty coming from the lower-bracket, fresh off from a 25-23 win on de_train against mystical Lambda. The German team needed two map wins to win the tournament and started out the greater, with a 16-8 victory on de_nuke.
Moving to second map de_train n!faculty got to start on the CT-side, to see the Swedes play a fair T-side, gathering six rounds against nine for n!faculty. Now playing the T-side, n!faculty showed great play and fnatic never really kicked in the CT defenses that was needed to stop the Germans. This all led to n!faculty winning 16-9 on de_train and 2-0 overall.

The result would hopefully not be showing the current form of fnatic, as they are expected to save all of their moves for the upcoming Extreme Masters IV World Championship Finals.
Final Standings
1.n!faculty – 5 x ASUS EAH 5870
2.fnatic – 5 x SteelSeries Siberia v2
3.mystical Lambda – 5 x SteelSeries Xai
4.Frankfurt 69ers – 5 x SteelSeries 9HD
This small showdown of the eight teams was great entertainment, but is unlikely to show much of the teams current form, as the German squads got ESL Pro Series starting next week.
